Everything You Need to Know About Festicrawl:
San Francisco’s Newest Pub Crawl & Music Festival
San Francisco is about to get a fresh dose of live music and bar-hopping fun with the first annual Festicrawl. Set for Saturday, August 24, this event combines the best of both worlds—a pub crawl through some of the city’s favorite bars, paired with a full-on music festival featuring 14 bands and two DJs. If you’re looking for a day (and night) packed with good drinks, great tunes, and a bit of friendly competition, Festicrawl is the place to be.
DETAILS
What Is Festicrawl?
Festicrawl is more than just your average pub crawl. Sure, you’ll be making your way through a bunch of bars in the lower Polk Street neighborhood, but this crawl comes with a twist—live music. Not just background tunes, but actual bands and DJs set up in the bars, turning each venue into its own mini music festival.
When you snag a ticket, you’ll unlock access to some killer drink specials at each participating bar. We’re talking $3 beers, $4 shots, and $5 cocktails, with each bar offering up its own unique deals. You won’t find these prices every day, so take advantage and try out a few new spots while you’re at it.
The Music Festival Element
Here’s where things get really exciting. Festicrawl isn’t just about drinking—it’s about soaking in some amazing live music while you do it. Four of the participating bars will host live bands, each with its own musical vibe:
Mayes Oyster House: Indie Mayhem Stage
Get ready to rock out with Tino Drima (solo), PLOVVER, Mild Universe, and Spooky Mansion bringing their indie magic to the stage.
McTeague’s Saloon: Cosmic Country Stage
For those who dig a bit of twang with their tunes, Nate Porter, John Courage Trio, Desiree Cannon, and Indianna Hale will be serving up country vibes with a cosmic twist.
Music City SF: Psych Out Stage
Things get a little wild over at Music City SF with Bolero!, The Carrots, and ¿Qiensave? turning up the heat with their psych-infused sounds.
El Lopo: Flamenco Fire Stage
If you’re in the mood for something a little different, head to El Lopo for Tracy Jones, Donovan Plant, and Tachíria Flamenco w/ Gopal Slavonic for a flamenco-inspired set that’ll get your feet moving.
Decodance: Neon Pulse Stage
And for the dance floor lovers, Decodance has you covered with DJ sets from DJ Yo Celly and CDCM spinning all night long.
How It Works
Before you dive into the fun, you’ll need to check in at Mayes Oyster House. Whether you’ve got a pre-sale ticket or you’re grabbing one at the door, this is where you’ll get your event wristband and a map to guide you through the crawl. With your wristband on, you’re all set to enjoy the drink specials and music throughout the day.
Extra Fun: Contests and Tattoos
Keep your eyes peeled during the crawl for the Find the Gnome Contest. There are eight gnomes hidden in the participating bars, and if you find one, you can bring it back to Mayes for a prize. It’s a fun little scavenger hunt that adds an extra layer of excitement to the night.
And if you’re looking to add a little sparkle to your look, head over to Lush Lounge for some free glitter and temporary tattoos. Just show your wristband at the tattoo station and let them work their magic.
